The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 06/07/20 at around 1:48 am, Deputies responded to the area of County Road 129 just south pf County road 139 for the report of a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Deputies located a vehicle in the ditch on its side with the driver entrapped. Deputies report the vehicle was traveling southbound on CR 129 before it left the roadway and struck mailboxes and sign posts , and continued southbound flipping over and coming to rest into a ditch. The driver of the vehicle, Lauren Parker, 25, of Lodi, NY, was extricated from the vehicle by Ovid and Interlaken Fire, treated at the scene by South Seneca Ambulance and was flown to Upstate Medical Center by Life Net helicopter. Parker sustained broken bones and a head injury and remains in critical condition. Deputies report the passenger, David Gelatt, 30, of Romulus, NY, was transported by Trumansburg Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital then transferred to Strong memorial in Rochester for treatment of a concussion, and an eye injury. Sheriff’s Deputies report that the accident is still under investigation.
