LAW ENFORCEMENT: Total Calls For Service: 1158 Total Arrests: 50 D.H.S. Fraud Cases: 9; Yearly Total Cost Recouped: $40,529

NARCO: Total new drug cases: 5 Total arrests: 3

CORRECTIONS: Average Number of Inmates: 49 Monthly Total Made for Boarding In: $33,010.03; Yearly Total: $111,111.06

CIVIL: Office Closed.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH:

March 2nd, 2020: A SCSO Sergeant tragically committed suicide.

March 4th, 2020: An inmate at the jail was charged with a felony when he attacked and choked a Corrections Officer.

March 6th, 2020: A driver was charged with vehicular manslaughter after deputies responded to a fatal car accident in the Town of Waterloo. One person was killed.

March 15th , 2020: A home in the Town of Junius was lost during a house fire.

March 16th, 2020: NARCO charged 2 suspects with felonies for allegedly possessing crack cocaine. The new k-9 “Coski” assisted with the detection of drugs.

March 18th, 2020: All SCSO non-essential offices were closed due to COVID19.

March 21st, 2020: A boat accident on Seneca Lake, Town of Ovid, was investigated after a boat capsized and sank in rough water.

March 31st, 2020: An inmate in the jail was found dead by Corrections Officers. The investigation is continuing.
