The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on December 8, 2023 at 6:00 PM, Deputies were sent to a theft in the Town of Junius. Upon arrival and after some investigating Suspect Austin M Molina-Alonzo, age 27, Homeless, was taken into custody. It was reported that Molina-Alonzo was walking around a business with merchandise in his arms. Once the employees turned their back, Molina-Alonzo ran out the door without paying. Molina-Alonzo fled the area in a vehicle but with the employee’s accurate description of Molina-Alonzo, Deputies were able to identify the vehicle he was driving. Deputies then made a traffic stop and Molina-Alonzo was taken into custody without incident. During the subsequent traffic stop Molina-Alonzo was found to be in close proximity to drugs. Further more, while at the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Deputies located another victim’s Driver’s License and Social Security inside Molina-Alonzo wallet. The Victim was contacted and wished to press additional Charges. Molina-Alonzo was charged with Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Molina-Alonzo was held in Seneca County Correctional Facility due to his Criminal History.
