House Fire Town of Junius

On March 15, 2020 at approximately 7:29PM, Deputies responded to 709 Birdsey Road in the Town of Junius for the reported structure fire. Deputies arrived and observed the east side of the residence to be completely engulfed by fire. Deputies were able to confirm on scene that the residence was unoccupied. Junius Fire Department responded to the scene and began operations.  Deputies report  the residents of the home;  Kyle D. Good and  Luanne B. Good both 21  and their infant daughter, were all out of the residence and unharmed during the fire. Junius Fire Department was assisted by Magee Fire Department, The Waterloo Fire Department, Oak’s Corners Fire Department, Border City Fire Department, North Seneca Ambulance, The Fire Investigation Team and the County Coordinators. Shortly after 9PM, the fire was put out and an investigation showed that the cause of the fire was an accident, caused by a wood stove . There were no injuries reported at the scene of the fire. The residence sustained heavy damage. Red Cross was notified, however the victims had family in the area that they opted to stay with.
