The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on December 4, 2022 at around 7:25 p.m., Deputies responded to the area of Reed Road and Hecker Road in the Town of Waterloo following the report of an erratic driver. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Silver Mercury Marquis sedan which was reported to be the vehicle that was being operated erratically. A roadside investigation conducted by Deputies yielded that the operator of the vehicle, 45-year-old Corey L. Richardson of Trumansburg, New York, was Driving While Intoxicated. Richardson was subsequently arrested as a result of the investigation for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving a Motor Vehicle with .08 of 1% of Alcohol, and Failing to Keep Right. The DWI related offenses were Felony level offenses based on Richardson’s prior DWI related convictions. Richardson was transported to the Seneca County Jail where he was processed and released on an Appearance Ticket. Richardson will be expected to appear before the Waterloo Town Court in January to answer for the charges.
