Seneca County Sheriff’s office reports that on 01/22/2022 at approx. 2027hrs deputies arrested Desmond a Lawton, 31 of Interlaken. The arrest stems from a complaint where deputies were called to a residence in Interlaken for a reported physical domestic. It is alleged that Lawton had shoved a victim then did not allow them to leave a room as well as threatened the victim with a knife. Lawton was charged with two counts harassment 2nd degree a violation, one count of menacing in the 2nd degree a class A misdemeanor, one count of unlawful imprisonment 2nd degree a class A misdemeanor and criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree a class D felony. Lawton was transported to the Seneca county Jail and arraigned at CAP court where a Class A order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim. Lawton in to reappear in both Town of Romulus and Town of Covert court on a later date.
