Deputy Sheriff Completes D.A.R.E. Instructor Training

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Deputy Sheriff Grace Lipker has graduated from D.A.R.E. Instructor Training following a rigorous 80 hour training session held in Montour Falls, New York. Deputy Lipker is currently assigned to the Romulus Central School District as a School Resource Officer and will begin teaching D.A.R.E. classes to students.

Sheriff Thompson remarked, “We are proud to continue the tradition of having members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office teach this program to students in our school districts. The positive relationships built between our Deputies and our youth have proven to be invaluable. This program has evolved over the years and has shifted to focusing on teaching the students how to make good choices which will hopefully lead to productive lives and avoid the pitfalls of drugs and crime.”
