Deputy Sheriff Completes Advanced Training

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Deputy Sheriff John Babcock recently completed extensive training related to boating accidents and investigations. The training is overseen by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and is entitled Comprehensive Boating Incident Investigation Course. This course is a unique training opportunity and provides the students with a deep understanding of how to investigate boat accidents and assess damage. The course includes extensive material on boat electrical systems, boat fires/explosions, electric shock drowning, and a host of other topics.

Sheriff Thompson remarked, “This training enhances our ability to investigate boating incidents on our waterways and protect boaters. We appreciate Deputy Babcock’s commitment to this community and will continue to work diligently to enhance our Marine Patrol.”
