D.A.R.E. Program

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office continues the tradition of teaching D.A.R.E. to students within the County at South Seneca, Romulus, and Waterloo Schools.

D.A.R.E. is a ten week program based on teaching the youth in our community to make safe and responsible choices as they grow and are faced with new obstacles in life. Topics covered in D.A.R.E. include facts about and the health effects of alcohol and tobacco use, bullying, how to be a good citizen, what peer pressure is and how to handle it, effective listening and confident communication skills, as well as ways to seek out help.

The D.A.R.E. program is solely funded by donations. These donations are used to purchase program workbooks and materials to be used in class, D.A.R.E. merchandise, and for a celebration with the students at the end of the program.

As the 2024 program wraps up, after another year of sharing this knowledge with the youth of our community, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the below sponsors who help to make the D.A.R.E. program possible in Seneca County –
