Criminal possession of stolen property

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on September 16th 2023 deputies arrested Jurrell Thompson, 32 years old, of Penn Yan New York for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th. At around 07:15 Deputies responded to the Seneca Lake State Park for a reported suspicious vehicle. Upon investigation it was found that Thompson was in possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of the City of Rochester. The vehicle was impounded and Thompson was transported to the Seneca County Jail, where he was processed and released on an appearance ticket. Thompson is to appear in the Waterloo Town Court at a later date. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the New York State Police.
