Correction Officer Basic School Graduation

On Friday, May 3, 2024, a graduation ceremony was held for some of the newest Correction Officers in the region. The ten-week Basic School for Correction Officers was sponsored by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and had attendees from the counties of Cayuga, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Tompkins, and Wayne. The course was instructed by members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from partner agencies. These Correction Officers learned a variety of topics that included crisis de-escalation, officer wellness, defensive tactics, and a host of others.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that their graduates were Officer Caleb Corbett, Officer Cole Henderson, Officer Dylan Jackson, Officer Michael MacCheyne, and Officer Kevin Zettlemoyer.
