DWI Arrest in the Town of Covert

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on March 31st, 2024, at approximately 1:43 am hours, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Anna N. Dickens, age 28, of Blew Road, Ovid NY in the Town of Covert for Driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor) and speed in zone (violation).

The arrest stems from a traffic stop where it is alleged that Dickens was observed operating a vehicle at speeds over 80 MPH. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and after an investigation Dickens was taken into custody.

Dickens was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear before the Town of Covert Court on May 10th, 2024, to answer the charge(s).

Warrant Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on Saturday March 10, 2024, at about 6:00pm, Deputies arrested David Hennigan, age 42, of Waterloo, NY on a Bench Warrant.

The Warrant was issued for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operator in the 3rd Degree.

Hennigan was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

Arrest Warrant

The Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on 3/09/2024 at approximately 9:30AM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Cori R. Spears, age 44, of 25 Peterman Road apartment D3 in Seneca Falls on an arrest warrant.

The arrest stems from a traffic stop that occurred in the Village of Waterloo, where Spears was a passenger. The arrest warrant was for 4 counts of abandonment of an animal and 4 counts of failure to provide proper sustenance for an animal. Spears was then transported to the Seneca County jail where she waited for CAP court.

The Sheriff’s office was assisted by NYSP and Waterloo PD during the traffic stop.

Warrant Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on Saturday March 9, 2024, at about 5:45pm, Deputies arrested Nicole M Fuller, age 27, of Seneca Falls, NY on a Bench Warrant.

The Warrant was issued for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Misuse of Food Stamps, 3 counts of Filing False Instruments in the 1st Degree, and Welfare Fraud in the 5th Degree.

Fuller was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

DWI in the Town of Ovid

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on March 2nd, 2024, at approximately 4:25PM, Deputies arrested Anya S. Harris, age 44, of 7277 Main Street Ovid NY in the town of Ovid for driving while intoxicated, Aggravated DWI BAC over .18%, crossing hazard marking, and unsafe change of lanes.

The arrest stems from a Property Damage Accident on County Road 131 in the Town of Ovid. Harris was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility where she was processed and released on an appearance ticket.

Harris is to appear in the Town of Ovid Court on 03/26/2024 at 10:00AM to answer the charges. Assisting Agencies include New York State Police and South Seneca Ambulance.

DWI Arrest Town of Tyre

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on March 2nd,2024 at approximately 1:25 AM Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Sara Baker, age 35, of 8838 DAYLIGHT DR LIVERPOOL, NY 13090 in the Town of Tyre, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree a Felony.  

The arrest stems from an incident where it is alleged that Baker was observed speeding on State Route 318. After a subsequent investigation Baker was taken into custody and her driver’s license was also found to be revoked for a prior Driving While Intoxicated arrest. 

Baker was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear before the Town of Tyre Court on March 13th, 2024, at 4:00PM to answer the charge.

Resisting/OGA Arrest Town of Waterloo

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on February 23rd, 2024 at approximately 6:00 AM Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Desmond Reese, age 29, of 141 HIGH ST APT 8 GENEVA, NY 14456 in the Town of Waterloo for Obstructing Governmental Administration in the second degree and Resisting Arrest.

The arrest stems from an incident where Reese allegedly stole a vehicle in the City of Geneva. Reese was observed in the vehicle by the New York State Police east bound on Waterloo-Geneva Road in the Town of Waterloo. The New York State Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, which led to Reese fleeing in the vehicle. After Reese stopped the vehicle, he then fled on foot into a wooded area behind a business on Waterloo-Geneva Road. Deputies responded to assist the New York State Police. Sheriff’s Deputies and the New York State Police Officer entered the wooded area and located Reese. When Sheriff’s Deputies and the New York State Police Officer attempted to take Reese into custody, Reese physically resisted arrested. Reese was then tased and placed into custody.

Both a Sheriff’s Deputy and a New York State Police Officer sustained minor injuries during the struggle. Reese was released on appearance tickets and turned over to Geneva Police Department to face charges for the stolen vehicle.

Reese was released on an appearance ticket to reappear in the Town of Waterloo Court on February 27th, 2024, at 5:00PM.

DWI/AUO 1st Arrest in the Town of Tyre

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on February 13th at approximately 1:30 AM Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Sean Miller, age 35, of 26 Norbrook Road, Fairport NY 14450 in the Town of Tyre for Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree (Felony).

The arrest stems from an incident where it is alleged that Miller was observed operating a vehicle with an obstructed license plate. After a subsequent investigation Miller was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Miller’s license was also found to be previously suspended pending a chemical refusal hearing for a prior Driving While Intoxicated arrest.

Miller was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear before the Town of Tyre Court on March 13th 2024 at 4:00PM to answer the charges.

Aggravated DWI, Town of Junius

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on 02/22/24 at around 1:34 am Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Justin M Bastedo, age 33, of Clyde NY on Driving While Intoxicated in the Town of Junius.

The arrest stems after Deputies responded to the area of State Route 318 for a vehicle operating erratically. When Deputies arrived, they located a vehicle that was allegedly driven by Bastedo in a ditch in front of a local business. After a subsequent investigation Bastedo was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated BAC .18% or Higher and multiple traffic violations.

Bastedo was transported to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and released with a Uniform Appearance Ticket. He is to appear in the Town of Junius Court at a later date.

Aggravated DWI Arrest, Town of Romulus

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on 2/23/2024 at 4:30 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested David A. Gelatt, age 34, of 2766 State Route 96 Ovid, NY 14521, in the Town of Romulus for DWI and Aggravated DWI.

The arrest stems from a motor vehicle accident on State Route 96 in the Town of Romulus. Gelatt left the roadway struck a telephone pole causing minor damage to the vehicle. After investigation Deputies placed Gelatt in custody for driving while intoxicated.

Gelatt was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Town of Romulus Court on 3/22/2024 at 10:00 AM to answer the charges.
