Stolen Vehicle Recovery and Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on August 8, 2019 at approximately 2:45PM, Investigators arrested Brandon S. Stone, age 31, of 941 Waterloo-Geneva Rd. Lot 27. Stone was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third degree, a Class D Felony, and Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class E Felony. It is alleged that Stone stole a motor vehicle from the state of Indiana. Investigators located the stolen vehicle at his residence where he attempted to conceal it with a tarp and switched license plates. Stone is currently being held at the Law Enforcement Center to await arraignment. Investigators are working with the Greenfield Police Department in Indiana for Stone to be extradited back to Indiana.

Narcotics Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on July 26th, 2019 members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Meredith J. Bell of 1925 Seneca Road, Lodi, New York. The arrest is a culmination of an investigation in to the manufacturing of methamphetamine in the Town of Lodi. Bell was charged with Criminal Possession of Methamphetamine Making Materials, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the third degree, a Class D Felony. It is alleged that Bell purchased pseudoephedrine on 109 separate transactions and had knowledge that the pseudoephedrine would be used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Bell was held for Centralized Arraignment and was later released on her own recognizance.

Narcotics Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on July 18th, 2019, members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Ashley N. Swarey, age 30, of Ritter Road, Waterloo, NY.  Swarey was charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree, Class C Felonies.  It is alleged that Swarey sold Buprenorphrine, also known as Suboxone, in the Town of Seneca Falls on two separate dates.  Swarey is being held at the Law Enforcement Center to await arraignment at Centralized Arraignment Court.

 

Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on July 18th, 2019 at approximately 11:30AM, members of the Narcotics Unit and Seneca County Probation arrested Kyle G. Clawson, age 41, of 1925 Seneca Road, Lodi, NY.  Clawson was arrested after a bench warrant was issued for his arrest out of the Town of Romulus Court on a charge of failure to appear after a previous criminal mischief arrest.  Subsequent to his arrest, members of the Seneca County Probation Department discovered an inactive methamphetamine lab located within a shed on his property.  A search warrant was then obtained for the property where multiple items used in the production of methamphetamine were discovered.  Sheriff’s Investigators also discovered a quantity of methamphetamine within his residence.  Clawson was charged with one count of Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the first degree, a Class B Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.  The Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the first degree charge stems from a prior conviction in January of 2019 in Seneca County Court for previously manufacturing methamphetamine at the same location in November of 2018.  Sheriff’s Investigators were assisted on scene by members of Seneca County Probation, Lodi Fire Department, and New York State Police.

 

Narcotics Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on June 28th, 2019, members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Gisbert J. Hanft, age 46, of 141 Cameo Cir, Breeseport, N.Y. The arrest stems from an investigation where it is alleged that on June 27th 2019, Hanft was in possession of cocaine while incarcerated at the Seneca County Correctional Facility. Hanft has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Promoting Prison Contraband in the Second Degree both Class A Misdemeanors. Hanft was issued appearance tickets and is currently being held at the Seneca County Correctional on other unrelated Charges. Hanft is to appear in Romulus Town Court on the 29th of August at 10:00am.

Narcotics Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on June 28th, 2019, at approximately 7:00am, members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Mykel A. Wing, age 29, of 17 South Seneca Street, Waterloo, New York. Wing was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, a class A Misdemeanor. It is alleged that Wing possessed a quantity of heroin while in the parking lot of the Law Enforcement Center. Wing was held for Centralized Arraignment Court and will return to the Town of Romulus Court at a later date.

Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on June 7th, 2019, members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Ashely A. Goodell, age 32, of 9 Wycliffe Rd. Waterloo, N.Y. The arrest stems from an investigation where It is alleged that Goodell allowed a male subject (who had stolen a vehicle from a Town of Seneca Falls residence on April 23rd 2019) to store it at her residence . The Stolen vehicle was located and recovered from inside Goodell’s garage which is located in the Village of Waterloo. Goodell was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree (Class D Felony). Goodell is currently being at the Seneca County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment at CAP Court.

Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree Arrest

On June 3, 2019, at about 5:10pm, Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Elisia M. Panipinto, age 21, of 3450 West Covert Road, Interlaken, New York, on a charge of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, a Class B Felony.  The arrest stems from an investigation where Panipinto allegedly subjected a victim to sexual contact while the victim was unable to give consent on June 1, 2019 at a Town of Varick residence.  Panipinto was arraigned in the Seneca County Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail/$10,000 secured bond.  Panipinto is to reappear in the Town of Varick on June 7, 2019, at 12pm.

Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on May 30th, 2019, members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Berain L. Winfield, age 36, of Syracuse, N.Y. The arrest stems from an investigation where it is alleged that Winfield had stolen a vehicle from a Town of Seneca Falls residence on April 23rd 2019 . The stolen vehicle was recovered from inside a locked garage at a residence located in the Village of Waterloo where Winfield allegedly parked it in an attempt to conceal its location. Winfield was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree (Class D Felony) relating to the stolen vehicle. In addition, New York State Parole issued a warrant for Winfield for violating the conditions of parole. Winfield is currently being held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility on the parole violation and is awaiting further court action.

Endangering the Welfare of a Child Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports Investigators arrested a 19 year old Lodi resident for Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Dylan J Palmer, of Brokaw Rd in Lodi, is accused of engaging in an inappropriate sexual oriented conversation with a 13 year old female victim. The two met on a social media platform and engaged in a conversation that spanned over the course of two months. Palmer was released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear at the Fayette Town Court on June 5, 2019 to answer the charge.
