Drug Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on February 2, 2024, Investigators arrested 25-year-old Kalease O. Reid of 116 Whitney St. in the City of Rochester for the crimes of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree, and Resisting Arrest.  During a traffic stop, Reid was the back seat passenger in a vehicle that was observed making a turn without using a turn signal.  Following a roadside investigation, it was found that Kalease was in possession of Crack Cocaine and a digital scale.  Upon attempting to take Reid into custody, he physically resisted arrest. Reid was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center where he was processed at the Seneca County Jail.  Reid was held for arraignment on the morning of February 3, 2024.  Reid will be expected to appear before the Waterloo Town Court at a later date to answer for the charges against him.  24SH03243

Drug Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on 02/05/2024 at approximately 10:00 AM Investigators arrested Michael E. Smith, Age 35, of 16 West Elizabeth for 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree. The arrest stems from a drug investigation where Smith is alleged to have sold crack cocaine in the Village of Waterloo. Smith was arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Court and is to appear to the Village of Waterloo Court at a later date to answer for the charges.

Ghost Gun Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Timothy Thompson reports that on January 12, 2024, Investigators arrested 53-year-old Brian S. Smith of 401 Cayuga Drive in the Town of Waterloo on the charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in a Sensitive Location, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree, Criminal Sale of a Firearm in the third degree, and Criminal Sale of a Ghost Gun in the second degree.  It is alleged that Smith sold a loaded Privately Made Firearm “ghost gun” and crack cocaine while in the Town of Seneca Falls. Smith was processed at the Seneca County Jail and arraigned at Seneca County’s Centralized Arraignment Part Court.  Smith will be expected to appear before the Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date to answer for the charges against him.  Seneca County Investigators were assisted by the New York State Police and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.  23SH20092

Drug Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on January 12, 2024, Investigators arrested 53-year-old Brian S. Smith of 401 Cayuga Drive in the Town of Waterloo on the charges of two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree.  The charges came pursuant to a traffic stop conducted on a vehicle that Smith was operating.  Smith was found to be in possession of Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl, and multiple digital scales.  Smith was processed at the Seneca County Jail and arraigned at Seneca County’s Centralized Arraignment Part Court.  Smith will be expected to appear at the Waterloo Town Court at a later date to answer charges.  The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the New York State Police and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. – 24SH01277
