Domestic disturbance

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on August 3rd, 2021 at approximately 8:54pm, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an apartment complex in the town of Tyre for the report of a domestic disturbance. After further investigation, Sarah A. Newman, age 32, of 1884 SR 318 Apt. 1102 in Tyre, allegedly threw a rock at a vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle, in the presence of a child. On August 6th 2021, Newman turned herself in to Sheriff Deputies and was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief 3rd. Newman was processed while at the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center and is due back in the town of Tyre court to answer to the charges on a later date.

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on August 3rd, 2021 at approximately 8:54pm, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an apartment complex in the town of Tyre for the report of a domestic disturbance. After further investigation, Omar B. Johnson, age 45, of 711 South Street, Himrod, NY, allegedly kicked a female in the stomach in the presence of a child and then left the scene. On August 5th 2021, Johnson turned himself in to Sheriff Deputies and was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment 2nd. Johnson was processed and arraigned while at the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center. Johnson is due back in the town of Tyre court to answer to the charges on a later date.


DWI

The Seneca County Sherriff’s Office reports that on July 31st at approximately 2:20AM, Deputies arrested Adrienne G. Hall age 31 of 25 East Main St Clifton Springs NY on State Route 414 in the Town of Seneca Falls. Hall was arrested for Backing Unsafely, Driving while intoxicated and Driving with .08 of 1% or more. The arrest stems from a complaint that was called in about a possible impaired driver leaving a local business in the Town of Tyre. While Deputies were following Hall on State Route 414, Hall made an abrupt stop in the middle of the roadway and began to back up in the roadway. Hall was stopped by Deputies in the T/Seneca Falls and after further investigation, charged with DWI. Hall was transported to the Seneca County jail, where she was processed and released on UTT’s. Hall is to appear in the Seneca Falls Town court on a later date to answer the charges.

Domestic Incident

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 08/02/21 at approx. 1621hrs deputies arrested Steven Johnson, age 45, of 7150 Prospect ST Ovid for endangering the welfare a of a child a class A misdemeanor and harassment 2nd a violation. The arrest stems from a domestic where it is alleged that Johnson shoved a 10 year old child. Johnson was transported to the Seneca County Jail where he was arraigned at cap court and ROR’ed. Johnson is to appear in the Town of Ovid court on a later date. The Sheriff’s office was assisted by the NYSP.
