Criminal Contempt/Aggravated Family Offense

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on February 18th at approximately 2:45 AM Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Kenneth Hillen, age 54, of 4424 W WALWORTH RD MACEDON NY 14502 in the Town of Tyre for Aggravated Family Offense and Criminal Contempt 1st Degree.

The arrest stems from an incident where it is alleged that Hillen was found to be in the presence of a protected party in which Hillen was court ordered to stay away from by a class A order of protection.

Hillen was turned over to correctional staff to await arraignment at the centralized arraignment proceedings to answer the charges.

Fire in the Town of Fayette

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on 02/13/2024 at about 5:39pm, Deputies responded to 1436 West River Road in the Town of Fayette, New York for the reported structure fire.

Upon arrival, Deputies found the business owner, Johnathan Pulver outside of the business. It was reported that there was no one else in the business at the time of the fire.

Waterloo Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. North Seneca Ambulance along with Mutal aid from Fayette, Seneca Falls, and Border City Fire departments responded to the scene to assist.

The Seneca County Fire investigation team responded and upon initial investigation it was determined the fire was accidental from a vehicle in the business, but it is still under investigation. Fire damage to the home is estimated to be several tens of thousands of dollars and a vehicle was damaged as well.

Warrant Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on Monday February 13th, 2024, at about 3:00pm, Deputies arrested Nicole M Fuller, age 27, of Seneca Falls, NY on a Bench Warrant.

The Warrant was issued for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Misuse of Food Stamps, 3 counts of Filing False Instruments in the 1st Degree, and Welfare Fraud in the 5th Degree.

Fuller was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

CPCS 7th Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on February 1st, 2024, at approximately 6:00 AM Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Shian Herrington, age 23, of 2921 ST RTE 11, Parish NY 13131 in the Town of Junius for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.

The arrest stems from an incident where Herrington was an occupant in a disabled vehicle. Herrington was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine. Herrington also had an active warrant out of the New York State Police.

Herrington was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear before the Town of Junius Court on February 20th, 2024, at 6:00PM to answer the charge. Herrington was then turned over to the New York State Police to answer the warrant.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Seneca Falls Police Department and the New York State Police.

Petit Larceny/CPCS 7th Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on February 2nd, 2024, around 9:00am, Deputy Sheriff’s Arrested Matthew R. Garneau, age 23, of 9 Chapel St Seneca Falls N.Y. and Brianna Velez, age 28, of 23 Inslee St. Waterloo N.Y. for Petit Larceny.

The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on Feb 2, 2024, at a local business in the Town of Tyre. Both Garneau and Velez are accused of stealing merchandise and then fleeing the scene. The vehicle was stopped in the Town of Seneca Falls shortly thereafter.  Upon further investigation, a quantity of suspected Fentanyl was recovered from Garneau’s vehicle along with other drug paraphernalia. Garneau and Velez were taken into custody and transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center for processing. Both were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Tyre Town Court on Feb 14th, 2024, at 4:00pm for the Petit Larceny charge. Garneau and Velez are also scheduled to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on Feb 9th, 2024, at 10:00am for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree charge.

Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by the Seneca County Narcotics Unit, Waterloo Police Department and New York State Police.

PI Accident in the Town of Fayette

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on 01/29/2024 at around 6:05am Deputies responded to the reported PI Accident at the intersection of State Route 96a and E Lake Rd in the Town of Fayette.

Deputies responded and found two vehicles to be involved with both drivers suffering from minor injuries. Through a subsequent investigation it is alleged that Twyla Keeler, age 67, of Seneca Falls NY, was attempted to cross SR 96A East-bound from E Lake Rd when she pulled in front of a vehicle, driven by Duarte Rosario-Paulino, age 46 of Rochester NY, that was traveling southbound.

Both Rosario-Paulino and Keeler were transported to Geneva General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Five other passengers in Rosario-Paulinos vehicle reported no injuries. Keeler was cited for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection and will answer the Town of Fayette Court at a later date.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by North Seneca Ambulance and the Border City Fire Department.

Warrant arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on Monday January 29th, 2024, at around 11:23pm, Deputies arrested James J. Oliver, age 41, of Farmington, NY on a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of petit larceny. Oliver was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

DWAI Arrest in the Town of Fayette

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports on January 25, 2024 at approximately 5:30 P.M. Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Mykel Wing, age 33, of Waterloo, NY, for Failure to maintain lane and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

The arrest stems from a traffic stop in the Town of Fayette. After investigation Wing was placed in custody for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by Drugs.

Wing was released on appearance tickets and is to appear before the Town of Fayette Court on February 13, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. to answer the charges. The Sheriff’s Office was aided by the New York State Police during this incident.

DWI Arrest in the Town of Romulus

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on 01/26/2024 at around 0022, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Scott T. Jackson, age 53, of 1371 CR 132 Romulus NY, 14541, in the Town of Romulus on multiple charges including Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree and Leaving the Scene of an Accident following a PI Accident.

The arrest stems from a PI Accident where it is alleged that Jackson was operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when he lost control while on SR 96 in the Town of Romulus. The truck left the roadway and struck a drainage ditch before rolling over multiple times. Jackson then fled the scene of the accident but was located and apprehended a short time later. Jackson was then transported to Strong Memorial hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Jackson was released on a Uniform Appearance Ticket and multiple Uniform Traffic Ticket’s. Further charges are pending.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Romulus Volunteer Fire Department and South Seneca Ambulance.

Probation Warrant Arrest

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that on 1/24/2024 at 04:23pm, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Daniel R. Babbit Jr. age 54, of 31 Boston Ave Seneca Falls, NY 13148 in the Town of Romulus, on an active violation of probation warrant of arrest for petit larceny. Babbit was turned over to corrections to await CAP court arraignment.
