The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on November 12, 2020, Investigators arrested an inmate in the Correctional Facility after it was reported by Jail staff that the inmate attempted to make contact with a female whom he has an order of protection with. The investigation revealed that inmate Damon D Steele, age 22 of Seneca Falls NY, wrote two letters and attempted to send them via mail to a female whom he is not allowed to be contacting per a court issued order of protection. The letters were intercepted by Corrections Officers in the outgoing mail. As a result of the investigation Damon Steele was charged with two counted of Attempted Criminal Contempt 2nd and two counts of Aggravated Family Offense. Steele was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at the Romulus Town Court on November 27, 2020 to answer the charges.
