The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on December 21, 2019 at approximately 2:00pm Investigators arrested Joshua M Hernandes, age 37 of Waterloo, NY. The arrest stems from an investigation into an alleged Welfare Fraud complaint. Hernandes is accused of fraudulently obtaining benefits from Seneca County. As a result of the investigation Hernandes was charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st, Welfare Fraud 3rd, Grand Larceny 3rd, and Misuse of Food Stamps. All the charges are Felonies. Hernandes is being held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment at CAP Court.
