Vandalism Arrests

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on April 29, 2020, members of the Road Patrol Division and Criminal Investigation Division responded to the campus of the South Seneca Junior/Senior High School for the report of numerous posters that were vandalized. The extent of the vandalism included derogatory and hateful comments directed to individual members of the graduating senior class. It is alleged that the posters were damaged during the early morning hours of April 29th. Based upon the investigation, the following individuals were arrested:

Michael J. Wilkins, age 19 of Willard, NY. Wilkins was charged with Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, a Hate Crime, a Class E Felony and Making Graffiti, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Tangalean Kio, age 18 of Ovid, NY. Kio was charged with Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Making Graffiti, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Jonathan Siccardi, age 18, of Interlaken, NY. Siccardi was charged with Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Making Graffiti, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The three adults were released on appearance tickets. They are scheduled to appear at Centralized Arraignment Court on May 18th, 2020 at 8:00AM.

Two Adolescent Offenders were also identified and will be appearing at the Seneca County Probation Department at a later date.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office worked closely with administration and guidance counselors from the South Seneca School District.
