The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 11/01/18 at around 3:00pm, Deputies arrested two juveniles, 13 years old and 12 years old, as Juvenile Delinquents for a Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle case. The arrest stems from an investigation of the report of a stolen vehicle and missing juveniles from The Hillside Childrens campus in Varick on 10/31/18 at around 10:45pm. Deputies report that the juveniles had gotten the key to the vehicle , and were able to leave the area. The vehicle was believed to have been spotted on Rt 5 in the Border City area shortly thereafter , and Deputies searched the area but were able to locate the vehicle or suspects. Deputies report that at about 230AM on 11/01/18 the juveniles were located on the New York State Thruway near Exit 29 after the juveniles crashed the vehicle. The juveniles were transported to St Marys Hospital in Canajoharie ,where they were treated for minor injuries and later released. The juveniles were then brought back to Seneca County and issued appearance tickets, to appear in Family court at a later date to answer charges. The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Waterloo Village Police and New York State Troopers.
