THE SENECA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS ON 7/9/20 AT 2:03 PM, DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO THE AREA OF STATE RT 336 AND SECOR RD FOR a one car MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT . DEPUTIES REPORT PEGGY COLE, AGE 52 OF WATERLOO, WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND ON RTE 336 DELIVERING MAIL , while driving along the shoulder, THE VEHICLE’S TIRES CAUGHT THE EDGE OF THE PAVEMENT AND WENT OFF THE SOUTHSIDE OF THE ROADWAY, SPINNING 180 DEGREES. THE VEHICLE CAME TO REST IN THE SOUTH SIDE DITCH FACING WEST. COLE SUFFERED INJURIES TO HER LEG, BACK AND NECK. COLE WAS EXTRICATED FROM HER VEHICLE AND TRANSPORTED BY South Seneca Ambulance TO THE SENECA FALLS AIRPORT WHERE LIFENET air ambulance TRANSPORTED HER TO STRONG MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, where she is in stable condition and being treated for rib and leg fractures. SCSO WAS ASSISTED ON SCENE BY NEW YORK STATE POLICE and , FAYETTE and VARICK FIRE DEPARTMENTs . The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
