Narcotics Arrest

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on August 11th 2022, members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Shawn M. Rousseau, age 37 of 9140 Keady Road, Lodi, New York. Rousseau had an active arrest warrant for Unlawful Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving. It is alleged that Rousseau failed to comply with officers and engaged in a pursuit on July 15th, 2022 in the Village of Waterloo. After Rousseau was taken into custody on the warrant, Investigators executed a search warrant on his vehicle. Subsequent to the warrant, the following items were discovered and seized 5 ounces of powder and crack cocaine. Psilocybin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, Suboxone, Xanax, Adderal, a digital scale, and United States Currency.

Rousseau was charged with following crimes:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the second degree
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree (4cts)
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree (3cts)
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree (2cts)
Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree
Unlawfully Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle
Reckless Driving

Rousseau was arraigned at CAP. He is being held in the custody of the Sheriff on no bail due to previous felony convictions. The Narcotics Unit was assisted by members of the Uniformed Road Patrol, Waterloo Police Department and New York State Police.
