The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on December 6, 2020 at approximately 4:40 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Morehouse Road in the Town of Ovid for a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a tree. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Michael Shaw, 67, of Townsendville Road , Lodi NY was intoxicated. Shaw’s truck was heavily damaged and towed from the scene. Shaw was transported by South Seneca Ambulance and treated at Cayuga Medical Center for a broken arm and cuts to the forehead. Deputies charged Shaw with failure to keep right and driving while intoxicated, he was released to appear in Ovid Town Court on December 15, 2020 to answer to the charges.
