The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 09/06/23 at around 0600 Sheriff’s Deputies and members of the Romulus Fire Department were dispatched to the area of St Rte. 414 and Ernsberger Rd for the reported one car PIMVA. On arrival deputies observed a 2012 Toyota Camry that had collided with a dirt embankment head on. The driver, identified as Shoaib Zafar, age 30 of Rochester NY as well as three other occupants, two of which were small children were found to have minor injuries as a result of the accident. Witnesses on scene reported Zafar’s vehicle was observed traveling westbound on Ernsberger Rd and had continued through the intersection of SR 414 and struck the embankment head on. As a precaution all parties were transported to GGH to be checked over. Zafar was issue a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign and is due in Varick Town Court at a later date.
