Press Release - Two arrested for heroin possession
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On February 21, 2014, at about 3:16 pm, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested two people after they were found to be in possession of heroin on Route 414 in the Town of Seneca Falls. The charges stem from a traffic stop conducted by members of the Narcotics Unit, Sheriff’s Uniform Road Patrol, and New York State Parole.
Arrested were the following:
Scott W. Wormuth, age 49, of 28 Auburn Road, Apartment D3, Seneca Falls, New York, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony. It is alleged that Wormuth possessed twenty-six individually packaged baggies of heroin. Wormuth was arraigned in the Waterloo Village Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail/$20,000 secured bond. Wormuth is to reappear in the Waterloo Village Court on February 25, 2014 at 10am.
Ronald J. Manino, age 51, of 39 Spring Street, Seneca Falls, New York, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. It is alleged that Manino possessed four individually packaged baggies of heroin. Manino is currently on New York State Parole stemming from a drug arrest by the Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit in December of 2011. Manino was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility without bail on a parole violation. Manino is to appear in the Seneca Falls Town Court on February 27, 2014 at 10am.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit also assisted at the scene.
