Press Release - Sheriff's Narcotics Unit arrest two with Heroin
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested two people following an investigation into the sale and possession of heroin in the Village of Waterloo.
Members of the Narcotics Unit, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), the Waterloo Police Department, and the Sheriff’s Uniform Road Patrol executed a search warrant in the Town and Village of Waterloo. Following the execution of the search warrant, Sheriff’s Investigators seized nineteen baggies of heroin, a quantity of marihuana, drug packaging materials, a scale, and a quantity of Unites States Currency.
The following people were charged: Juan R. Torres, 33, and Jessica M. Tandle, 21, both of 133 East Williams Street, Waterloo, New York, were both charged with:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree – Class B Felony
Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree – Class A Misdemeanor
Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the first degree – Class A Misdemeanor
Unlawful Possession of Marihuana – Violation
It is alleged that Torres and Tandle possessed the heroin while in a vehicle in the Town of Waterloo. It is further alleged that Torres and Tandle allowed a child to live in a residence while drug activity took place.
Torres and Tandle were both arraigned in the Waterloo Town Court before Justice Folk. Torres was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $4,000 cash bail/$8,000 secured bond. Tandle was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail/$2,000 secured bond. Both are to reappear in the Waterloo Town Court on April 18, 2013 at 5:30pm.
