Press Release - Narcotics Arrest



The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on July 6th, 2018 at 6:15PM members of the Narcotics Unit arrested Jason V. Minguez, age 43, of Waterloo, NY.  It is alleged that Minguez had been selling powdered cocaine and “crack” cocaine within the Village of Waterloo and Town of Fayette.


Minguez was charged with the following:


Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd- Class B Felony


Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (2 counts)- Class B Felonies


Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd (2 counts)- Class A Misdemeanors


At the time of his arrest, Investigators seized powdered cocaine, digital scales, a quantity of a cutting agent, United States Currency, and various items of drug paraphernalia.  Minguez was arraigned at the Town of Tyre Court where he was committed to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $5,000 or $10,000 secured bond.  Members of the Narcotics Unit were assisted by the Ontatio County Drug Task Force and Geneva Police Department.


Investigators report that the investigation is ongoing and charges against associates of Minguez are forthcoming.
