Press Release - Arrest



The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on May 10th, 2018, Investigators arrested Jayme L. Furniss age 31, and Kimberly A. Furniss, age 28, both of Marsh Rd. in the Town of Tyre.  The arrest stems from a domestic incident that was reported on the evening of May 9th. It is alleged that Jayme and Kimberly were involved in a verbal argument within their residence, where three children under the age of 5 also reside.  While on scene of the domestic, deputies discovered a marihuana growing operation in one of the children’s bedrooms.  Both Jayme and Kimberly were charged with the following:


Unlawfully Growing of Cannabis, Class A Misdemeanor


Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the First Degree, Class A Misdemeanor (3 counts)


Criminal Possession of Marihuana in the Fourth Degree, Class A Misdemeanor


Jayme and Kimberly were released on appearance tickets.  They are scheduled to appear at the Town of Tyre Court on June 5th, 2018 at 5:00PM.  Child Protective Services were notified of the incident and are working in conjunction with members of the Sheriff’s Office.
