LAW ENFORCEMENT:

Total Calls For Service: 1245

CORRECTIONS:

Average Number of Inmates: 89

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH:

January 5th, 2018: The Sheriff’s Office held their annual awards ceremony. Deputy Frank Eldredge was honored as Officer of the year. 8 Deputies earned life saving awards.

January 10th, 2018: Deputies and Investigators responded to a house fire in the Town of Junius. The house was a total loss. The cause is still under investigation.

January 18th, 2018: Deputies responded to a call of someone breaking into a residence and physically attacking a female in the Town of Waterloo--6 children under 12 were present. Upon arrival deputies found that the suspect had strangled a female to unconsciousness. The suspect , who was physically violent, was apprehended at the scene. 

January 23rd , 2018: Deputies responded to a Domestic Violence Report, in progress, in the Town of Waterloo. The suspect threatened a deputy with a knife and attempted to flee. The suspect was apprehended with no injuries to anyone.

January 23rd, 2018: A suspect was arrested for impersonating a police officer in the Town of Tyre.

 January, 2018: There were two arrests in the Town of Fayette for Driving under the influence of drugs.

 January 2018: A T.V. antenna system was installed at the jail eliminating cable costs.
