Press Release - DWAI Drugs



The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on December 20th 2017 at 05:00 PM Deputies arrested Scott M Knowlton, 19, of 15 West St Waterloo NY on State Route 414 in the Town of Tyre. Knowlton was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and Failure to Use Designated Lane. The arrest stems from an investigation into a two car property damage accident. Knowlton was north bound on State Route 414 when he left the roadway driving over a curb and struck another motor vehicle. His vehicle was towed from the scene. The second vehicle driven by Cynthia A Cecce  age 65 of Seneca Falls NY along with an 8 year old child as a passenger was exiting a Town of Tyre business when they were struck in the driver’s side. Both were uninjured and the vehicle was driven from the scene.  Upon further investigation,  Knowlton was arrested for DWAI- drugs , Sheriff's Deputies report that shortly after being secured in the rear of the patrol car , Knowlton went unconscious. Deputies immediately began CPR and then administered multple doses of Narcan . Knowlton was revived and transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital where he was treated and released.   Knowlton was released on appearance tickets and is to appear in the Town of Tyre Court on January 31st 2018 to answer the charges.
