Press Release - Identity Theft



The Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports that Investigators arrested Adam W. Spinner,46, of 28 Auburn Rd. Apt B3, Seneca Falls NY on Monday 10/2/17.

It is reported that Spinner was charged with the following: One Count of Identity Theft in the 3rd degree and two counts of Petit Larcent both of which are class A misdemeanors. In addition, Spinner was charged with felony counts of Identity Theft 1st degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree, Forgery in the second degree and Grand Larceny in the fourth degree. Investigators said that Spinner forged an online application for a credit card in someone else's name, obtained said credit card and used it for purchases and cash in the Seneca Falls area.

Spinner was arraigned in the Town of Junius Court in front of Justice Laird. Spinner was remanded to the Seneca Co. Jail in Leiu of $4000 cash bail or $8000 insured bond and will apprear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 10/5/17 to answer the charges. The Seneca Co. Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Seneca Co. District Attorney's Office and the Seneca Falls Police Department.
