Press Release - Structure Fire



The Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports on 9-16 -17  , Sheriff's Deputies responded to a structure fire at 3139 Disinger Road  Waterloo ,in the Town of Fayette. Deputies report a barn suffered extensive damage, the adjacent residence suffered minor damage. The barn was ruled a total loss after catching fire at approximately 6:42 P.M. It was owned by Thelma S. Dadson, age 96 of 3139 Disinger Road. Dadson was home at the time of the fire and was escorted to a safe distance. The Fayette Fire Department responded with assistance from Border City, Varick, Seneca Falls, Waterloo, Romulus, Ovid, Magee, Junius and Canoga Fire Departments. North Seneca Ambulance as well as Seneca Falls Police Department assisted. The fire was ruled as a possible electrical fire. The structure was insured.
