Press Release - Grand Larceny Arrests

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators on Aug 15 2017 made three arrests related to an ongoing grand larceny investigation in the Town of Ovid.  The arrests stem from a debit card that was stolen in the Town of Ovid and used multiple times by multiple suspects. 

 

The following were charged:

 

Ian M. Belanger, age 30, of 7174 Main Street, Apartment 1, Ovid, New York, was charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information in the Third Degree (six counts), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree (six counts) and Petit Larceny (six counts).

 

Stacey L. Courtright, age 28, of 7183 Main Street, Apartment B2, Ovid, New York, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information in the Third Degree (four counts), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree (four counts) and Petit Larceny (four counts).

 

Courtney B. Bower, age 20, of 4324 Route 414, Fayette, New York, was charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information in the Third Degree (four counts), Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree (four counts) and Petit Larceny (four counts).

 

All three defendants were released on appearance tickets and are to appear in the Town of Ovid Court on September 12, 2017 at 10:00am to answer to the charges.

 

The investigation remains pending and additional arrests may be forthcoming.
