Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, that on Aug 20 at about 12 noon, Deputies responded to a three-car personal injury accident at the intersection of State Route 89 and County Rd 139 in the Town of Ovid. A vehicle being operated by Amanda L. Marshall, 29, of 1321 Gilpin Ave Wilmington DE was traveling Southbound on State Route 89, while a vehicle being operated by Stephan D. Houck, 70, of 360 Furman St Brooklyn NY was traveling Westbound on Co Rd 139 and failed to stop a the Stop sign. The two vehicles collided and caused Houcks vehicle to spin out of control.  Houck then collided with a third  vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign on the West side of the intersection, the vehicle was operated by Joseph W. Farrell, 67, of 147 Post Creek Rd Beaver Dams NY. Houck and his passenger Toni C. Lichstein age 70 of Brooklyn NY reported pain in the chest  but refused medical attention at the scene. Houcks’ vehicle suffered extensive damage to the passenger’s side and was towed from the scene.  Marshall complained of knee pain and was transported by South Seneca Ambulance to Cayuga Medical Center for treatment.  Marshalls passenger,  Elyssa M. Swern, 27, of 1611 Country Mill Rd Cranbury NJ  complained of chest pain and was also transported by South Seneca Ambulance to Cayuga Medical Center.  Marshalls vehicle suffered extensive damage and was  also towed from the scene . Farrell and passenger Nadine C. Farrell, 64, of 147 Post Creek Rd Beaver Dams NY both reported no injuries and the vehicle sustained minor damage and did not need to be towed.  Houck was issued a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign and will appear in the Town of Ovid Court on a later date.
