HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH:

 

07/17/2017: Deputies charged a D.W.I. suspect with a felony—“Leandra’s Law”, in the Town of Covert, after allegedly driving drunk with a 7 year old child in the car.

 

07/20/2017:  A prostitution case in the Town of Tyre was concluded with the arrest of two subjects. Arrested were what is commonly known as the “John” and the “Pimp”. The prostitute was considered a victim of sex trafficking and was referred to services.

 

07/21/2017: The Narco Unit arrested a subject that was trafficking heroin in Seneca and Ontario Counties.

 

07/21/2017: Deputies responded to a fatal farm accident in the Town of Varick where an 8 year old boy was killed. The case is still under investigation.

 

07/26/2017: A man was charged with multiple criminal charges after a high speed chase in the Towns of Fayette and Varick. No one was injured.

 

07/30/2017: The Narco Unit arrested a subject for possessing and selling cocaine in the Town of Waterloo.

 

Investigations conducted another crackdown on Welfare Fraud during the month of July; a total of 6 people were arrested. Investigators filed 8 felony charges and 3 misdemeanors.
