Press Release - Child Sexual Abuse



May 18, 2017, 7:00 pm: Seneca County Sheriff's Investigators arrested Lloyd K. Morlang, age 60, of 350 Waterloo/Geneva Road, Apartment 12, Waterloo, New York, on charges related to the sexual abuse of a female child less than 15 years old. Morlang was charged with:

Rape in the Second Degree (two counts), Class D Felonies

Criminal Sexual Act in the Second Degree (two counts), Class D Felonies

Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree, a Class D Felony 

Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor

It is alleged that Morlang subjected the victim to sexual intercourse and oral sexual conduct. It is also alleged that Morlang disseminated pictures and text messages of a sexual nature to the victim between July of 2016 and April of 2017. 

Morlang was arraigned in the Waterloo Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail. Morlang is to reappear in the Waterloo Town Court at a later date. 

Sheriff's Investigators worked closely with Seneca County Child Protective Services, New York State Division of Parole, and the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes.
