LAW ENFORCEMENT:

 

Total Calls For Service: 1313

Total Arrests: 36

 

NARCO:

 

Total new drug cases: 6

Total arrests: 11

 

CORRECTIONS:

 

Average Number of Inmates: 70

Monthly Total Made for Boarding In: $39,340.92; Yearly Total: $147,948.07

 

CIVIL:

 

Total Summons/Complaints/Services: 62

Total Income Executions: 16

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH:

 

04/03/2017:  Deputies investigated a violent Domestic in the Town of Ovid where a woman was physically abused, choked and restrained. A 5 year old child was also involved. The suspect was located and arrested without incident.   

 

04/19/2017: The Narco Unit arrested two subjects for trafficking heroin in Seneca County. The case began with an investigation into heroin laced with fentanyl being sold in Seneca County. Subsequently one of the subjects was charged for selling fentanyl in the Town of Waterloo. 

 

04/23/2017:  Deputies discovered a subject in possession of cocaine while on a traffic stop in the Town of Ovid.

 

04/23/2017: Deputies and Investigators responded to a small plane and skydiver incident in the Town of Ovid. The plane was damaged and a skydiver from the plane was injured.    

 

04/26/2017: Investigators assisted Wayne County Sheriff’s Office with a Prostitution Sting that resulted in 6 men being charged. 

 

04/27/2017: Several of our Corrections Officers participated in a “Wheelchair Basketball Game” at the Seneca Falls Rec Center to support Seneca County veterans and their families.

 

04/29/2017: The Sheriff’s Office conducted another Drug Take Back Day.
