Press Release - Welfare Fraud Arrest
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On February 22, 2017, at about 9:45am, Seneca County Sheriff's Investigators arrested Loan T. Lu, age 38, of 18 1/2 East Main Street, Waterloo, New York, on several charges related to a welfare fraud investigation.
Lu was charged with:
Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree (2 counts), Class E Felonies
Welfare Fraud in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony
Misuses of Food Stamps, a Class E Felony
Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony
The charges stem from an investigation where Lu received public assistance from Seneca County and failed to disclose her entire household income. Lu was released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Waterloo Village Court on March 15, 2017 at 5pm.
