Press Release - Drug Possession/Sale Arrest
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports, on 01/19/17 at approximately 3:00PM, the Narcotics Unit along with the Waterloo Police Department arrested Florencio Alicea, age 32, of Pultney St. Geneva, NY. It is alleged that members of the Narcotics Unit observed Alicea with a person whom there was a valid class "A" stay away order of protection. The Narcotics Unit advised the Waterloo Police Department and an investigation began. While law enforcement members were speaking with Alicea, he was found to be in possession of multiple baggies of heroin. Further investigation revealed that Alicea was also in possession of quantities of Xanax and Suboxone. The Narcotics Unit also charged Alicea with selling a baggie of heroin just prior to his arrest. Alicea was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd.
Alicea was arraigned at the town of Fayette Court where he was committed to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $500/$1000 for the CPCS 7th charges and $2000/$4000 for the drug sale. He is scheduled to re-appear on 01/24/17 at 5:00PM.
