HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH:
12/01/2016: Investigators implemented drug identification training for County Social Workers.
12/08/2016: 2 unlawful handguns were recovered at the scene of a domestic. One handgun was stolen from North Carolina. A Subject was arrested.
12/08/2016: The Narco Unit, working with Child Protective, arrested two adults for taking a 7 year old child’s prescription medication and giving it to another adult.
12/10/2016: 10 children participated in the Shop With A Sheriff program.
12/16/2016: Road Patrol and Investigations responded to a Fatal Car Accident on Route 89, Town of Covert. It is still under investigation.
12/26/2016: responded to a Domestic Violence Incident with a shotgun involved in town of Ovid. A victim was rescued through a window. The suspect was safely apprehended.
December 2016: 4 persons were arrested during a crackdown on Welfare Fraud. There was a total of 17 charges—(13 felonies and 4 misdemeanors).
