Press Release - Welfare Fraud Arrests

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On December 2, 2016, Seneca County Sheriff's Investigators arrested two subjects following separate investigations into welfare fraud. 

Susan L. Hurcomb, age 56, of 7045 2nd Street, Apartment Two, Willard, New York, was arrested on charges of:

Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree, a Class E Felony

Welfare Fraud in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony

Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony

Misuse of Food Stamps, a Class E Felony

It is alleged that Hurcomb falsified paperwork and failed to disclose household income while receiving financial benefits from Seneca County. 

Julie A. Rotondo, age 51, of 4 Jay Street, Seneca Falls, New York, was arrested on a charge of:

Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree, a Class E Felony 

It is alleged that Rotondo falsified paperwork in an attempt to receive benefits from Seneca County that she was not entitled to.

Both Hurcomb and Rotondo were released on appearance tickets and are to appear in the Waterloo Village Court on January 4, 2017 at 5pm.
