In October another new, inmate funded program in the jail is in progress called: “Thinking for a Change”—(T4C). The goal is to reduce recidivism by teaching inmates how not to repeat the risky behaviors that get them into trouble. The program is conducted by the jail Mental Health Staff.
10/31/2016: A Sex Offender Sweep Detail was conducted by Deputies and Investigators. A large marijuana grow operation was discovered at one sex offender’s residence.
The K-9 Unit organized drug sweeps for two schools this month—Romulus and Waterloo. Area K-9 officers assisted. We are happy to report that no drugs were detected.
