Press Release - Poss stolen prop/Pursuit
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports that on the 3rd day of November, Deputies arrested Darriann E. Goston age 27, of 1904 Niagara St. Buffalo New York for Obstructing Governmental Administration, Possession of Burglar's tools, Possession of Stolen property in the 5th degree and Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree.
Dashawna A. Johnson age 23, of 79 Windwood CTS C Buffalo New York was arrested for Possession of Burglar's Tools and Unlawful possession of stolen property.
The arrests stem from a Larceny complaint in the Town of Junius. When Deputies located the vehicle, they initiated a traffic stop in which the driver, Goston, ended up fleeing the scene in the vehicle with Johnson in the passenger seat. The chase traveled West on State Route 318, South on State Route 414 and East on State Route 5 & 20 before being called off by Deputies due to the high rate of speeds entering the Village of Waterloo. The vehicle was later located pulled off of Rt 5 into a long private driveway . A perimeter was then set up in the 700 block of Waterloo Geneva Road with the help from New York State Police and Waterloo Police Department. With the assistance from the New York State Police K9 Unit the two individuals were located and arrested. Goston and Johnson were arraigned in the Waterloo Town Court. Goston was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $2000 Cash Bail $4000 Bond along with numerous Uniform Traffic Tickets. Johnson was committed on $1000 Cash Bail $2000 Bond. They are both to appear in the Town of Waterloo Court on November 18 at 9:30am.
