Press Release - PI car /TT accident



Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 10/19/16 at approx 8:30pm Sheriff's  Deputies responded to 1536 yellow tavern road for a PI accident. Deputies report that a tractor trailer driven by Bruce Maybury, 50 of 1640 Aunkst Rd Waterloo was attempting to back off the road when another vehicle was westbound on Yellow Tavern Rd driven by Ronald Swinehart, 58 of 949 Larsen Rd Geneva collided with the tractor trailer. Deputies state that Swineharts Mustang passed underneath the trailer - shearing off the roof of the Mustang, which came to rest just off the road . Ronald Swinehart was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital by LifeNet air ambulance , where he is in critical condition.  The passenger of Ronald’s vehicle (daughter)  Hannah Swinehart, 17  also of 949 Larsen Rd Geneva sustained injuries to her head and chest and was transport to Strong Memorial hospital by South Seneca Ambulance, where she was treated and released.  Waterloo Fire extricated both Swineharts and remained on the scene assiting Deputies for nearly 3 hours while the road was closed for the investigation.  Deputies were also assisted by the Ontario County Sheriff's Office DOT unit . Deputies state  the accident is still under investigation.
