Press Release - Welfare Fraud Arrests

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Seneca Co Sheriff's Office reports that Investigators arrested three individuals on arrest warrants between 8/12/16 and 8/15/16. Arrested were:

Grace F. Compton, 25, of 7588 Co. Rd. 131 Ovid NY for the charges of Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st degree (class E felony), Welfare Fraud in the 5th degree, Petit Larceny and Misuse of Food Stamps(all class A misd). Compton is accused of fraudulently obtaining SNAP benefits in the amount of $706 which she was not entitled to. Compton was arrested on 8/12/16.

Stacey M. Maneiro, 33, formerly of 29 W. Main St Waterloo for the charges of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the 1st degree( 2 cts) (class E felony), Welfare Fraud in the 5th degree, Petit Larceny and Misuse of Food Stamps( class A misd). Mineiro is accused of fraudulently obtaining SNAP benefits in the amount of $554 in which she was not entitled to.

Kailyn E. Gable, 26, of 7010 Co. Rd. 132A Romulus NY for the charges of Welfare Fraud in the 4th degree, Grand Larceny 4th degree and Misuse of Food Stamps( all class E felonies). It is alledged that Gable fraudulently obtained SNAP benefits in the amount of $2310 in which Gable was not entitled to. 

Both Gable and Maneiro were arrested on 8/15/16. 

All three subjects were arraigned in the Town of Fayette Court in front of Justice Sapio.  The subjects were ROR'ed and will appear on 9/7/16 at 5pm in the Village of Waterloo court to answer the charges.
