Press Release - Reckless Driving Arrest
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports, on 08/03/2016 at approx 4:45PM Deputies arrested Matthew Easling, age 30, of 50 Charles St., Dresden, NY. Deputies report that while they were on patrol, Easling nearly caused a head on crash with officers on Whiskey Hill Rd. in the Town of Junius. It is alleged that Easling was passing a vehicle while on a blind curve at 80MPH in a 55MPH. As Deputies attempted to stop Easling, he attempted to avoid officers by driving behind a residence and parking next to a barn on the property. Easling was charged with Reckless Driving and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. Easling was arraigned at the Town of Junius Court where he was committed to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $1000. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the NYSP and also their K-9 unit.
