Press Release - Drug Sweep

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 3rd – June 8th: The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested five people related to the sale and distribution of illicit drugs throughout the Seneca County community. This drug sweep was the culmination of 10 months of investigation. Arrested were the following:Raymond J. Anderson, age 24, of 2190 East Seneca Street, Lodi, New York, on charges of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony.  It is alleged that Anderson sold a quantity of heroin in the Village of Ovid.  Anderson was arraigned in the Ovid Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail/$2,000 secured bond.  Anderson was to reappear in the Ovid Town Court on June 7, 2016 at 11:30am.Calvin L. Butler, Jr., age 42, of 163 North Street, Geneva, New York, on charges of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (two counts), Class B Felonies, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (two counts).  It is alleged that Butler sold a quantity of crack cocaine on two separate occasions while in the Village of Waterloo.  Butler was arraigned in the Waterloo Town Court and released on his own recognizance.  Butler is currently out on bail on drug related charges.  Butler is to reappear in the Waterloo Village Court on June 15, 2016 at 5pm.  The Geneva Police Department and Ontario County Sheriff’s Office assisted in this investigation.Timothy M. Anderson, age 23, of 41 Church Street, Apartment F2, Waterloo, New York. He was charged with: Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony.  It is alleged that Anderson sold a quantity of heroin in the Village of Waterloo.  Anderson was arraigned in the Waterloo Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $2,000 cash bail/$4,000 secured bond.  Anderson was to reappear in the Waterloo Village Court on June 8, 2016 at 5pm.  The Waterloo Police Department assisted in this arrest.James A. Hennigan, age 21, of 146 Virginia Street, Waterloo, New York. He was charged with: Sale of an Imitation Controlled Substance, a Class A Misdemeanor. It is alleged that Hennigan sold a substance portrayed as heroin in the Village of Waterloo. Hennigan was released on an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Waterloo Village Court on July 13, 2016 at 5pm.Patrick O Snider, age 42, of 83 Canal Street, Lyons, New York. He was charged with: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (five counts), Class B Felonies, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (four counts), Class B Felonies, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation and Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, a Traffic Infraction.It is alleged that Snider possessed crack cocaine on five separate dates and sold crack cocaine on four separate occasions in the Town of Waterloo.Snider was arraigned in the Waterloo Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail.  Snider is to reappear in the Waterloo Town Court on June 10, 2016 at 11am.The Narcotics Unit was assisted by members of the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Division, New York State Police, and Wayne-NET (Wayne County Narcotics Enforcement Team).
