FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports, on 05/15/2016 at approximately 6:45PM Deputies arrested Courtney B. Bower, age 18, of 4324 Rt. 414, Seneca Falls, NY and John J. Pisano, age 29, with no current address. The arrest stems from a traffic stop on Hecker Rd. in the Town of Waterloo. Deputies observed Pisano riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle being operated by Bower. Deputies had knowledge that Pisano was actively being sought out of the Village of Waterloo for a felony Assault that occurred in April. As Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, Pisano fled on foot in the area of Hecker Rd. and Brewer Rd. Pisano fled through an open field and then a hedgerow before being caught by Deputies. Pisano was then turned over to the Waterloo Police Department for further court action.
Bower was charged with Hindering Prosecution 3rd and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. It is alleged that Bower knew there was an active felony warrant for the arrest of Pisano and continued to provide him transportation. Deputies also report that Bower possessed a quantity of heroin.
Bower was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Waterloo Court on 06/22/2016 to answer to the charges.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the New York State Police and Waterloo Police Department.
