Press Release - Narcotics arrest



On January 22, 2016, at about 2:25pm, the Seneca County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit arrested Calvin L. Butler, Jr., age 41, of 326 Kauris Circle, Geneva, New York, following an investigation into the sale and distribution of crack cocaine in the local community.  The investigation concluded with the execution of a search warrant on Border City Road in the Town of Waterloo where Sheriff's Investigators seized a quantity of crack cocaine packaged for sale, marihuana, United States Currency, and a vehicle.  Butler was charged with:

*Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony

*Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a Class D Felony

*Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation

Butler was arraigned in the Waterloo Town Court before Judge Folk and was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail.  Butler is to reappear in the Waterloo Town Court on January 27, 2016 at 2pm.  Additional charges are pending.

The investigation and arrest was a joint effort between the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, Ontario County Sheriff's Office, and Geneva Police Department.
