Press Release - Narcotics Arrest
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On December 29, 2015, at 5:28pm, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Shane M. Baker, age 25, of 5580 Route 96, Romulus, New York, on several charges following an investigation at his residence in the Town of Varick. Baker is currently under the supervision of the Probation Department for a drug arrest in Monroe County in 2014. Seneca County Probation Officers responded to Baker’s residence and conducted a routine search. The routine search led to the seizure of quantities of suboxone, alprazolam, clonazepam, and marihuana. Packaging materials, four (4) digital scales, over one hundred (100) hypodermic needles/syringes, and a gravity knife were also seized from the residence. Baker was charged with:Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a Class D FelonyCriminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class D FelonyCriminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Class A MisdemeanorCriminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument, a Class A MisdemeanorUnlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation Baker was arraigned in the Fayette Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail/$20,000 secured bond. Baker is to reappear in the Fayette Town Court on January 4, 2016 at 5pm.
